The
Eagan Fire Safety Center (Station #2) hosted an open house on Saturday afternoon. Kids could pose with the
fire dog and a fireman, spray the
fire hose at a practice house and put out a stove fire with a
fire extinguisher. Fire trucks and lots of equipment were displayed and firefighters demonstrated cutting open a car with the
"Jaws of life" and other powerful tools.

Leif! Your kids are just as cute as ever! I'm sure that is a great experience to them! Once in my life I wanted to be a Fireman too! Who knows someday I could be a volunteer too? But maybe I have to improve my body first :)

hee hee...
Rumor has it that you tried to convince the Fire Marshall that a package of Jiffy Pop Popcorn hanging on your wall was a redneck fire detector.
«Louis» knows that rumor is true because he started it himself, just like the rumor he started about the King of Norway a lutefisk burrito....
I think that Louis' ludefish burrito sign is very funny, Leif. At first I thought it was your bedevilment.
This demonstration is a good way to educate the kids (adults, too) on fire prevention. Fires are really, really scary.
Looks like a fun and educational event! The firetruck is awesome!
Fun and educational at the same time!
These events are fun for kids.
That would have been something to see.
