On October 5, Thomas Lake Elementary School students participated in the national "Walk to School day." Biking or walking to school promotes health and a more eco-friendly method of reaching school.
Lovely to see everyone in short sleaves too - was the shot taken long ago? Such initiatives seems to pop up all over the western world now and all for the better. I hope it doesn't remain a once-a-year thing!

Great idea. Beautiful walking path.
Darryl and Ruth :)
It's a nice picture. But I find it funny they have to have a special national day for this.
When I was growing up in Chicago it was a long, often cold walk to school. Who ever thought of driving to school; who even had a car?
That's great but they will need someone to walk to school with them, won't they?
A good idea. I'd rather hike it!
Good way to get some exercise!
Depending on how far it is they should make it for more than one day! It looks fun with them all walking together and chatting I bet! Nice shot Leif.
WONDERFUL !
