Snowblower included?

This 8,100 square feet mansion at 1489 Wellington Way, the largest in the Steeple Chase neighborhood, is selling for $999,000 by Sotheby's International Realty. Four "elite suite" bedrooms, a wine room, solarium and home theater top the list of some of the home's exquiste features. What do you think of it?

Potted, not planted

Skaters glided around the 3 trees in the middle of the rink at Clearwater Park. Rumor has it that the trees stand in pots and are not permanent.

"A Night in Hollywood"

Rotarians, Eaganites and other celebrities glitzed up for Saturday evening's 23rd annual Eagan Rotary gala fundraiser.  Two golden Oscar statues stood large at the entryway red carpet as guests sashayed into the Eagan Community Center for Eagan's premier social event.

Proceeds from the glamourous jollification support many Rotary community grants and other charitable projects nationally and internationally. Silent and live auctions added to the corporate sponsorship funds to capitalize the night!

An entertaining Lounge Lizard and her accompanist provided lively pre-dinner music.

Green Mill catered the dinner starting with a scrumptious spinach salad!

Special golden statue awards were presented from the Rotary dais during the after dinner programme.

Can you spot the celebrities among part of the 350 guests?!

Farm to fairway...

The Ulrich Farm from 1949 situated on Pilot Knob Road just south of Eagan once included 150 acres. In the early 1970s, most of the land was sold to create the Valleywood Golf Course. See other Barn Charm meme participants here.

Retirement speech

Tom Hedges, Eagan's only city administrator, spoke to his fellow Eagan Rotarians at Wednesday's weekly lunch meeting. Under Tom's extraordinary guidance for 36 years, our city grew from a village of 14,000 to Minnesota's 9th largest city of 64,000 inhabitants. Congratulations and thank you, Tom!
