3rd Sunday in Advent

As we prepare for Christmas, some people light a weekly candle on their Advent wreath. Mine was handmade in Siberia, Russia by a small, family owned business.

The Incredibles

 

Eagan Rotarian Mimi introduced the three "students of the month" from Eagan High School for September, October and November on Wednesday at the Eagan Rotary club meeting.  They are all excellent academically but they also serve as leaders and as volunteers.

Taste of Brazil

 

On Saturday, Valdir cooked "feijoada," the national, traditional meal of Brazil. Maria Bethânia's music sang in the background as we toasted with wine and caipirinhas and finished with a Brazilian dessert called "Pudim." Saúde!

The tablecloth was made with fabric purchased in São Paulo in 2019.

Thursday was a rainy day in Eagan. But in the coming days, the snow will come.... 

Honoring Veterans

 On Wednesday, the Eagan Rotary Club and the Eagan Kickstart Rotary Club honored three Veterans. 

Annie Young served in the Air Force, Don Coffin (seated) and Mike Ferber both served in the Navy.
