Kowalski's Market has been selling gourds during October, perfect decorations for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Most people would call this a "Christmas Cactus" but I call mine a "Thanksgiving Cactus."

Many Americans enjoy watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade live from New York City!

Turkey and trimmings

 

We also ate homemade lefse and drank sparkling cider. Cranberry cake with butter sauce nicely finished our Thanksgiving meal.  

Stuffed bird

 

The turkey is stuffed with whole onions and lemons. Under the skin, a mix of butter, parsley and some other secret ingredients will flavor it! It's almost ready for the oven on Thursday morning....
