Patty the potter

On the other side of the Eagan Art House from the 7 year old birthday party, Patty the potter was throwing lovely ceramic bowls! What a cool talent!

And she looks so happy doing it. Lucky Patty!

I always wanted to try making pottery.

You have to have a special talent to do pottery well, I think.

And time. But hey, in Minneesota in ze winter, what else dost thou have but time? So go putter around with pottery, Hagen!

She looks to be a lady so happy in her work. Contented and fulfilled. I've always wanted to pot.

«Louis» had to re-read Jilly's comment. At first, he thought she wrote that she wanted some pot and he was ready to recommend that she go to California's Mendocino County, which is infamous for having a whole underground economy based on polio weed...

Love Louis' comment, ah, but I digress. Any art endeavor is enviable, and she does look content and happy in addition to be creative.

That looks like fun! My pottery would probably come out all crooked though.

Hi there, thanks for the kind words. The statue in the picture belongs to the Blanton Museum of Art and is a plaster cast of the original called The Dying Gaul. I'm not sure where you can get a miniature, but you may be able to find it in knick-knack shops around the web. Hope this helps!
