Welcome, Max from Sweden!

Tony and Tessa Ripley hosted a welcome dinner party at their house for this year's Eagan Rotary Club exchange student, Max from southern Sweden. We also celebrated his birthday! (Max has the kitchen light over his head)

Nice photography. I remember the days when we had International Students staying at our Rotary member's homes. We have met some very nice young people that way who were from all over the world.

I once woke up with the kitchen light over my head. I have it on reliable authority that consumption of the demon alcohol played a significant role.....

It looks like you made Max feel quite welcome. A person of Swedish background should feel at home in Minnesota.

Is Eagan´s Rotary Club very big, how many members has it got? (Just curiosity)

I'm laughing at Mainz's (the blogger formerly known as JB) comment. I have met him and I think he speaks the truth.

Welcome to Max. I"m sure Eagan will roll out the red carpet for him.

A very warm welcome to Max. I wonder if he remembers all the new names. That would be a big challenge for me.

What a great (subtle??) way to identify an exchange student in a photo! Exchange students are a wonderful way for children to expand their worldview!

Are we too old to be exchanged????

Rotary Youth Exchange is such a great thing. My dad was in Rotary for many years and we had lots of students stay with us. They were always such nice people and we are still in touch with some over 30 years later. Max is lucky he has landed in Eagan.
