A Medieval Fair of fighting knights, craft demonstrations and Renaissance musicians transported visitors several hundred years back in time. Caponi Art Park hosted the Sunday afternoon event.
It must be the date... in a neighboring village of Venlo was this weekend also a back in time festival...Romans, Middle ages, Napoleon and second world war! And all in between! Fights, demonstrations and complete battlefields..

Fun.
Did the knights gallop around with coconut shells?
Maybe going to play ice hockey?
That's always fun. I lost in a wrestling game against one of the Vikings at a fair in Haninge.
The medieval theme seems to be popular in so many countries, they have these here to and they're so much fun to watch.
I always liked these kinds of events.
These guys look rather fierce.
I am dismayed that I keep forgetting to go there because I know that I'm missing some good times!!
HA! You're the one in the middle!!!
The Middle Ages were fascinating but barbarous. Thank God we're living in the 21st century to enjoy mediaeval pageants. I wish you a fascinating week.
History made live is interesting.
I can remember some movies while looking at this photo.
Love them. Back home in Germany visited many such fairs with friends, back when I still had long hair ;)
Please have a good Tuesday.
This is way cool. Leif! I would LOVE to hear the music and see the craft demonstrations too.
How fun. I hope you took a boatload of photos !
would have been roaring fun!
I like these events, they are always fun.
Good picture Leif!
We have some of these guys here, I didn't know they made it to the New World...
