smash. sizzle. savor.

Tuesday, February 16 was the VIP sneak-peek grand opening of the first smashburger in Eagan, the 6th location in the Twin Cities. The company's newest, 50th store treated us to fresh, never frozen, 100% Angus beef burgers; smashfries covered with rosemary & olive oil; and Haagen Dazs shakes! It's a fun, funky place for all ages; aged 84 "Esther" sat near us and seemed to really enjoy her burger, too. I predict that they'll be a smashing success! Check out their big, yummy menu & other locations at www.smashburger.com

Congratulations!!
it sounded like a healthy place..... Do you think it will be a big thing in Europe too? Looks nice inside, and I like the colors and style.

We don't have this in Jackson - maybe in another five years or so! Sounds interesting though.

No photo of 84-yr-old Esther?! Since I am limiting my intake of meat, I doubt that it'll be one of my regular haunts. I will, however, take my grandkids there, one of whom is a 16-year-old male with a hollow leg, to get their assessment!

An 84 year old enjoying a burger? Wow, it must be really good! I've never heard of it but seeing your second photo it already seems to be quite popular :)

After reading this I think they need to open one here! My grandmother's favorite food was a hamburger. She lived to be 89 and was still eating them.

I love a good burger, and those fries sound yummy.

With all that first class food, it must be expensive.
Nice booths. I miss them. We don't have any here.

Hmmm. The name doesn't sound appealing to me so their advertising must be amazing!

Well, I knew you'd post something about food, but didn't know what. I don't suppose you were smashed when you put these photos up, were you. Maybe you're the one who drinks moonshine!

Never heard of Smashburgers. But then I don't eat beef anyway, so there, too!

«Louis» KNEW Jacob would write something like this. «Louis» almost posted a similar text, posing as Jacob's ghostwriter...

Jacob, it's quite OK with «Louis» that you don't eat beef...

I like the wall decorated with "SIZZLE" but I do think smashburger is a weird name - No! Wait! Don't smash my burger! I don't want flat fries, either...

Milkshakes! They don't do milkshakes in these parts as they do in the US. At least, so far as I've found. I would love me a thick, killer milkshake!

Back when I was living in California we would sometimes eat at In&Out which had the same philosophy: everything fresh, hand cut fries (they had real potatoes in their kitchen) etc. Plus all their employees had health insurance. I'm glad for these trials to reinvent of the fast food business, I hope more companies would follow.
