Eagan is building a new, additional "Park & Ride" location just off Highway 77/Cedar Avenue. The parking lot for about 300 cars was behind me when I snapped this photo.
Commuters will catch a bus from here and ride into downtown to work.
Very nice color, I like the curved shape roof, so dynamic like an ice slider. I'm wonder why people park their cars there an ride a bus to the office, why not they just drive the car to the office instead.
Louis - It's a place to wait for the bus inside during the rain or a snow blizzard. Probably will have some coffee and snacks for sale inside, too? Deden - One can save gas, save money and not worry about driving in the traffic or finding a parking spot in downtown.
Hey, we used to live on Cedar Avenue - about 3200 south, something like that...many years ago! In a fourplex (with a garage - I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!)
This looks very nice...is that a waiting area for people to come in from the cold?
I was going to say "why do they need the building" but you have answered already. It is an attractive building, and more carpooling is always good! Three Rivers Daily Photo
Leif, thanks for the comment about the church on my blog today. It's often hard to get the chance or permission to photograph inside churches. I'll keep it mind for the future though. Sydney - City and Suburbs
I see you, so "Hello" over there. I guess I have not seen many pretty car-park- houses. This thing with parking, and than go by bus, is smart! Some companies, like big oil companies, have luxury busses that pick up their employees....and the same thing,-going home in the afternoon.
GOD HELG. JEG SKAL PÅ JENTETUR TIL FRANKRIKES HOVEDSTAD....NÅ!;-)

Love seeing your shadow in the lower right corner.
What is the building for Leif? Out here, the park and ride locations are simply parking lots. Is the building not related to the lot?
on te voit ;o)) belle architecture, c'est une cheminée qui sort du bâtiment ?
Park and ride is always good. MB

I like coffee and snacks. Wish we had one like that.
During rush hour traffic, it would be great if more people used them.
They do that in a lot of places in the world now. That's good. But I doubt it that it will help to reduce pollution very much.
That's a great idea!
that makes life easier for you and the others. ^0^
wait, is that your shadow on the right? nice catch!
I like your shadow.;-)

We could use a lot more of them in the Greater Toronto Area. The traffic is abysmal!
I like your shadow.

Hopefully being able to "share" its wave across the whole earth.
Please have a nice Friday.
We got to have some of the park and ride parks here in Delhi. Driving for hours is taking a toll on my back already. :-)

We need more of these! Right now, the service is actually being provided by malls, not our city government.
Looks like this building is going to be very pretty when it's done. I like the wavy roof, the stonework, and the large expanse of glass.
Sounds like a good plan! Will you be taking advantage of the new facility?
Another installation of a good idea. Greatly needed, but unthinkable here.
Editor to «Louis»: Well, duh, «Louis»! It's Minneesota, not California - they need shelters at these park-and-rides. It SNOWS there, stupid!
Editor in stage whisper: No wonder in France to call someone une vache is to imply they are a dimwit!...
I like the nicely curved roof.
