Easter Lutheran church is a congregation with two church buildings:
"Easter on the Hill" and
"Easter by the Lake." Traditional worship is offered on the Hill and contemporary worship by the Lake. Pastor Jim Borgschatz started the church
over 30 years ago by knocking on doors! Now they have over 2,000 members and a preschool, too.
structure bizarre, avec cette grande croix
ReplyDeleteI think Easter Lutheran should be on Easter Island...
ReplyDeleteTres interessant! Misery Synod?
'Easter by the Lake' sounds like an advert for a holiday.
ReplyDeleteI like their name!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Leif Hagen, for reminding me that today is Wednesday!!... (I am so much overloaded with work that I don't know where to turn to!!!)
ReplyDeleteNot really a large group then
ReplyDeleteInteresting name for a church! It looks like a simple place. Love the wood.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show that knocking on doors can take you a long way.
ReplyDeleteInteresting name. Anyway - I like the buildings' shapes and forms. Very pretty.....
ReplyDeleteBest regards
Asta
Very different than our european churchs !
ReplyDeleteSounds like the pastor might have charisma as well as persistence and stick-to-itiveness to grow a congregation like that!
ReplyDeleteGood entry...I never would have thought of L for Lutheran!
ReplyDeletevery picturesque!
ReplyDeleteStrange buildings, not very church-like, but honor to the Pastor for his persistence.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos. How do the services differ on the hill and by the lake?
