These train cars parked along the track; the paint was dry.

I have seen some art on buildings that is museum quality. And some of the best quotes I ever read were written with a finger across the backside of dirty 18-wheeler trucks. This seems to be a good tag from someone somewhere.
LOL about you checking to see if the paint was dry! I love how you can see the track going on forever! Great angle. - I do think that this type of graffiti is art. We were just talking about it yesterday. It takes great skill to get an even amount of paint from a spray can. Whenever I try to use one I either get too much in one spot and it runs or not enough coverage and you can see through it. Their work looks like airbrush! But better.
Great perspective, I like this shot. A bunch of morons is now tagging the passenger trains on the Lisbon-Oeiras-Cascais railroad and even the windows are not spared which prevent the people from looking outside and see the beautiful seashore along the way. Can you believe it?

Ah, yes, rail cars - a very favored target of the taggers worldwide...
(sigh)
Franchement, ils auraient pu peindre entièrement les wagons, cela aurait été plus vivant !
This is indeed a different kind of "canvas." I, too, like the perspective.
... it's America these days. I wonder is Europe and beyond seeing this too?
I never contemplated graffiti or art on railroad cars. I guess it is a way to get one's art exposed to a wider audience.
Same problem here, not much art in both cases...
I agree with Kate on both counts.
More colorful than the rusted metal.
Du hast es nicht gemalt?
i love the trains photography and i'm agree with you this is pure "art"!!!
An interesting mean to measure time and life indeed. And yes, colourful they are over here as well.

It is the first time I see art on trains and really enjoyed it.

I agree with Trainart....shoulda done the whole wagon, but then, maybe the train had started to move!
I love street art and grafitti on train wagons. They seem to just go together somehow.
That looks like a very long freight train! I have to confess, I like the art :D

I hope the train was at a standstill when they did it... great shot!
Wow, very nice composition, Leif!
