Our two younger daughters and I attended the American Suzuki Institute last week in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Over 250 kids came from all over to play their (mostly) violins, cellos, violas, harps, etc. Many kids begin the Suzuki Method from Japan at age 3 or 4 or 5! Sarah led this fun 9 am class each of the 5 days.

Where are the 2 Eaganites?

That's easy; one is wearing a pink camiseta and the other a turquoise green, towards the back row on the left. Did you read in today's Trib the story of the Minnesota and Swedish kids, the International Fiddle Conspiracy, who have played together for years? The group will play at the Irish Fair of Minnesota on St. Paul's Harriet Island on Sunday afternoon. Probably a good photo op!!

Wowthey start young Leif, but I guess if they want a chance to be really good they have to! My daughter started trumpet lessons when she was very young, oh heavens it was bliss when she decided she didn't enjoy it haha!Have a good weekend.

No fair, Kate has an advantage over the distance challenged among us. I hope the girls stick with it. Having an instrument to entertain oneself -- especially a melody instrument like a violin -- is a wonderful thing.
