Minnesota style shoes

Michael Proebstle, an Eagan Rotary buddy, and I hiked 2.5 miles around and over Jensen Lake on Saturday afternoon. It was quite cold but the sun shone and blue skies were overhead. Thanks for letting me borrow your snowshoes, Michael!

You were brave!
We call these shoes "raquettes" but they cannot be used to play tennis :-)

Haven't been on snowshoes in years. Probably should try it again, esp. this winter. You two must have gotten a good workout.

I love this. I have been trying in vain to sell my Redfeather snowshoes....don't use them anymore, but in Eagan, I could!

Leif, I heard on the news the temperature in Minnesota dropped to -43ºC, is it true? That's awful!!! Stay warm.

Die SnowShoes finde ich hip! Das hätte ich hier in Berlin auch schon gut gebrauchen können diesen Winter.

The snow has never stayed long enough here to need snow shoes. They look fun though!

I haven't tried snowshoes yet, but I'm game. We need a mid-winter CDP convention in Eagan.
