Das gleiche Problem haben wir hier in Berlin auch. Im December war es am schlimmsten. Aber auch im January ist es wie bei Euch auch nicht viel besser. Herzliche Grüsse von mir für Dich!:)
If it was a Saturday, maybe it was all the working folks trying to get their packages mailed during the three hours that the post office is open on weekends!
Hi Lief, Thank you for your good wishes my friend. When I'm stuck in a queue, I always count the number of people in front of me - and behind me. If those waiting behind me outnumber those ahead of me, it makes me feel better.☺
You would't believe the long lines of people upon finding a pharmacy which is open ... ! As the next week will be filled with strikes once again, these few people are indeed a joy to see. What a nice chance to make new friends. Thank you as well for your kind words. Please have you all a good new week.
It's the line left over from Christmas because the Postal Union requires that for every three employees on the clock at one time, two must be on break for 30 minutes of each hour of each shift. It's how the USPS "delivers for you"...

keeping warm? great idea for a blog post.
What a dream! You never have a real line here, people always try to outflank you or to jump forward with the silliest pretest...
The Post Office needs every dime, so I'm glad to see that it was busy.

It is always this way at my post office too and I can't understand why.
I don't know, looks like that lady in the white coat has a gift for someone. Maybe we got lost in time somewhere. Nice shot.
