The price varies, but it's about $20 for 20 liters (the prices are quoted in 20 liter chunks), so i guess that's about $5 for a little more than 1 gallon.
Well, Leif, here in SW Michigan the signs read $3.19 -- highest we have seen yet. I am so happy to have my Prius, which also barges nicely through the snow on a "lean diet."
Gas runs about $2.79 - $2.89 per gallon here in Houston/Cypress, Texas. For those of us who shops at Krogers Grocery Store, we get an additional $0.10 per gallon discount when we use their gas station immediately in front of the store. I have a hybrid car so it has saved me on gas.
Here in Israel a gallon of 95 octane now costs about $8. Last week the price was hiked by 0.43 shekels and went up for the first time ever to 7.10 shekels (about $2) per liter. Luckily I don't have a car. But the bus fares also went up.
The price on gas in Oslo is about 12 NOK per liter, that is approx $2. If I've done this correctly it'd mean that we'd pay approx $7,6 per gallon. So.. nothing to complain about. ;)

I KNEW that we should have bought the Prius instead of our new RAV4!!
Kate, I envy your RAV4 while I fill up my Suburban! We call her "Marge" as in, "Marge the Barge!" She's a good eater, too!
Here gas cost almost three times that!

In the Netherlands we pay 7,17 dollar per gallon, so it is not so bad in the USA.

Calculation: 1 US gallon = 3.78 litre*€1.49/litre*1.30 $:€
The price in Denmark goes up both saturday and sunday - and is near 12 kr. pr. liter. I like to take the train instead of the car.

In the UK we are heading towards the £7 gallon - not sure how many dollars that is.
Here is KC we are at 2.84 and heading up.
A litre over here ranges between 1,40 € and 1,60 €, while petrol for heating this year amounted to about 0,8 €.
Most of the time we wear pullover and have the air condition running.
The prices of gas, indeed a great mean to measure time and life. May it be good for you all.

We are holding fast at $2.95 per gallon here. The cost noted by some of our blogmates sounds like a good reason to go for a walk with your camera.
Darryl and Ruth : )
Dear Eagan, don't complain! We pay $ 9,44/gallon!
We are lucky that our gas here is cheaper. One of the good things living in one of the producers of gas ;)
Over here the cost is nearly 13 SEK per litre.

I remember well the severe winter during this time of the year. Despite that, Minnesota is my favorite place, by far.
Here in NZ, we pay $1.90/liter. I think that comes out to a bit over $5US/gallon, but don't quote me!!
