These two WWII heros were honored last week at our weekly Eagan Rotary lunch meeting during our annual Veterans Recognition program. Burt Eppen, on the left, served on a naval ship in the Pacific Ocean while Harold Brick ended up as a prisoner of war in Germany. Both of them told amazing stories and accepted a special award. I bet they told some amazing stories. It's good for young people of today to be able to meet, and listen to, men like these. They can learn a lot.
Leif, Photos such as these offer such a contrast to former vs modern day conflicts. I wish that we could end them all!
