These two WWII heros were honored last week at our weekly Eagan Rotary lunch meeting during our annual Veterans Recognition program. Burt Eppen, on the left, served on a naval ship in the Pacific Ocean while Harold Brick ended up as a prisoner of war in Germany. Both of them told amazing stories and accepted a special award. Bravo, boys, bravo!
Jerry Swanson, a fellow Rotarian and professional photographer, took this photo.

beau portrait, et bel hommage aux héros du passé.
They really must have some interesting stories to tell. Great portrait of this duo.
What an honor to be able to meet them and hear their stories!
An impressive portrait of two brave men, how good that you honored them!

(Og kretiv og flott design på utmerkelsen fra Rotary klubben.)
Thank you very much to them for helping us here.
What, you didn't have a camera with you? What kind of a CDP blogger are you, anyway?
Sheesh!
They look to be a couple of nice fellows who probably went through some hell back then.
Hats off to them!
I bet they told some amazing stories. It's good for young people of today to be able to meet, and listen to, men like these. They can learn a lot.
Leif, Photos such as these offer such a contrast to former vs modern day conflicts. I wish that we could end them all!
