My daughter treated me to hot lunch with her at her elementary school this week. Cheese pizza, peaches, carrots, Scooby-Doo crackers, milk and corn. The lunch room wasn't full as classes eat at different times.
American scholl children are so lucky, we don't have school lunches in Australia. The only thing we have are "tuck shop" - mums come and work in it, kiddies write their order on a bag, money inside and the mums do make them up. Food usually consists of pies, pasties, sausage rolls (winter) and sandwickes and rolls in summer.
You daughter is pretty and has the face of an angel - you must be very proud. Melbourne Daily Photo
That lunch tray is an environmental nightmare...individually packaged crackers? plastic spork? peaches in a plastic cup? The three R's (reduce, reuse, recycle) must be a theory class in schools.

Ah, What a cutie! The lunch doesn't look too bad; healthy, too. Carrots!!!! Great choice.
I used to do that too with my kids and I was always surprised when they dug into their dessert first!
Lovely picture. You must be a proud father.
Excellent, your daughter is growing and she must eat nourishing breakfast.
Are school lunches an issue there as they are here?
I won't starve back at school, maybe I'd need a pair of trays... Lovely girl, nice portrait!
Very colourful lunch for a young lovely lady!
ooooooh, she's so cute :)
So nice that she invited you, and that you took the time to have lunch with her! She is cute! ;-)
Makes me very glad to see that children happen to be in such a nice place and it's even a school...
A wonderful weekend for you all.
Don't kid me, you scared all the kids away. I heard one of them yelling, "Yikes! I thought Halloween was over!"
She's a sweetie. How'd you manage that?
Beautiful portrait of a beautiful girl! I'm sure you both enjoyed the shared moment!
beautiful smile
Sounds like a lunch that I would enjoy too.
You have a very lovely daughter, Leif!
