On Friday, September 4, my family, my parents-in-law from Iowa and I spent the day at the
Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul just 20 minutes north of Eagan. We ate
funny foods, rode
thrilling rides, saw
farm animals, and walked and walked and walked!
Our 9 year old tried
hand milking a cow outside the cow barns.
The
art building is a fun place to look at
paintings,
photographs,
sculptures and other art media. Lots of ribbon winners in there!

une traie en plein milieu d'une rue, c'est assez rare ;)
I love these fairs. It is a whole new world to me.
You covered all the activities at the Fair fairly well! Good job; come see mine, too!
You lucky dog! Or something. One of the things I do miss about Minnesota is the Minnesota State Fair...we'd never miss it when we were teenagers and young adults...
Then we moved away...
Glad you had a good time. Milking a cow is hard work...hope your daughter didn't strain her hand!
Have a great Labor Day, and don't belabor the fact you have to go back to work tomorrow!
Eating fun food, milking the cow, visiting art building....must have been a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.
Wenn ich die HotDogs sehe bekomme ich gleich Appetit....foot long bedeutet das extra large?
Ich hoffe Du hast einen für mich mitgegessen:-)
Fun at the fair. My favorite food is the Italian eggrole from Vescio's stand.
Good to meet you last week. We're all about exploring and photographing with friendly bantering while learning new tips and techniques together.
mmm hot dogs!
hi Lief, thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind comment.
I like art exhibition.
Great pictures! Fairs are so much fun! I miss elephant ears :)
state fairs are always fun. I was an FFA girl growing up so I really enjoyed state fairs. I liked the Indian fry bread though instead of corn dogs.
Everything is nice, I'm not sure about milking a cow, but I'm sure about trying the foot long hot dog!
This part of minnesota state fair that milch cow is attractive.
Wow the festival is so lovely !! Really loved the shots !! Thanks for sharing the beauty with us..Unseen Rajasthan
This cow must have been very patient to allow all that practicing going on throughout the day. Cowabunga!
100 followers! Way to go Mr. BIG!
I never miss the State Fair. If I told you how many I've attended, you'd know my age. I only missed when the Polio epidemice hit. This one had the best weather ever.
Looks like you could spend weeks here! I'm enjoying your blog - a great discovery.
Met at the fair and was a swell afair!
