An empty Target

 

The Target store was closed on Christmas Day, as it should be. It was just very unusual to see a completely empty parking lot.

A pottery mug and a surprise gnome arrived as a little present for myself from a potter in New York!

Happy 3rd Sunday of Advent

 

On Sunday, three candles will be lit on a Christmas wreath: two purples ones and the pink candle which represents the third Sunday of Advent. The third Sunday is called "Gaudete Sunday."

Lefse lovers

 

Sue Luse caught her daughter, Chelsea, and niece, Brianna, preparing the "lefse" for their Norwegian Christmas Eve dinner last year. Lefse is cooked on a flat griddle with a mixture of potatoes and butter. Then one puts butter on it and normally white or brown sugar - so good!
