It didn't seem like much for $40 dollars. Inflation has really raised the price of groceries.

 Over the lunch hour, I stopped by Trader Joe's to buy an orchid for my office. Love that place! 

Greenbacks for groceries

 

Buying food at the grocery store feels more and more expensive. This small lot cost me $90.37 at Hyvee. 

$100 and change

Two grocery bags of food completed my Hyvee grocery store visit with a bill of $100.68. 

Checking out

It was very quiet at Hyvee grocery store at 7:15 am as I scanned my groceries and toilet paper. 

Supplies

I spent just over $72 on groceries. Hyvee really had some bare shelves on Monday night as everyone seems to be stocking up for staying at home. Schools closed. Restaurants closing. Activities canceled. Corona virus has altered life right now... 

Grocery shopping?

This fire truck was parked at Cub Foods grocery store. No flashing lights so I guess the firefighters were picking up some ice cream, milk and Oreos cookies? 

Grocery list

I went grocery shopping with a short list: granola, vitamin C, chicken tenders, pumpkin bread, Starbucks coffee, almond extract, Greek yogurt, granola bars, trail mix, broccoli, bananas and raspberries.
