Safety officers
Yesterday, the Eagan Rotary Club held its 25th annual safety officer recognition lunch meeting. Fire Chief Hugo Searle introduced award recipient Firefighter Paul Burgett and told about one of his life saving rescues. Police Chief Roger New presented Officer Sean Farnham with his award and shared a heroic story performed by Sean. Congratulations to both officers and thank you for your service.

Annie Young Arts heART award
At Saturday night's "Journey to Rock Bottom" art exhibit opening party for Annie Young, I was given a special award at the Ames Center gallery for my support of artists.

Recognition and thanks
Bill Mitchell received this year's "annie young Arts heARTS" award to recognize and honor his selfless, generous and creative contributions along with the exemplary commitment and dedication in the field of art and community. Bonnie was the first recipient and Warren also previously received the award.
