These high school guys were cheerfully ringing the red bell for Salvation Army donations in front of Byerlys grocery store. They smiled for my $1 donation.
These kids are doing a great job with their time! People have also been helping the victims of the Typhoon here in the Philippines. LBC, a big cargo company here in the Phil Islands have been accepting relief goods and thus be transported by air to the Island of Mindanao! Christmas Spirit has never been dead! Merry Christmas Leif!
Just reminded me of Steve when he was in Vancouver.. He was stopped by a beggar woman who asked him for some money... He said he did not have any change (the truth) and as quick as a flash, she replied that she took visa.....

Only a DOLLAR?!!!!!
nice that the kids are out there for a good cause. I hope they did well.
People in our office took a turn on a Saturday a week before Christmas to be bell ringers. A very worthwhile tradition.
A cool way to get donations. Good on them!
I love the sound of that bell! Great shot :D
Hockey, Yah!
... And they look happy!

It is a good idea for young people to learn about volunteering their time and talents. But, Leif, one dollar?
Nice shot!
