Classic cars and
Elvis were the highlights of Wednesday's weekly
Market Fest.
Art Kistler is an "E.T.A." or
"Elvis Tribute Artist" according to Judy who sat next to me in the front row. She also told me that 300,000
ETAs worldwide sing the King's songs, wear the
glitzy costumes and move their
Elvis hips for audiences. Are you an
Elvis fan?

ha-ha-ha :)
We have a man who have had sooooooo many operations to look like Elvis in our part of Norway. If I see him, I will use "Steffe`s attitude" and photograph the guy.
Pass!
No I wasn't Leif, but my older sister was, so I did hear a lot of Elvis growing up. Me, I was a Beatles fan. What a fun post.
Of course I was! But, I've moved on...some folks find that hard to do!
Am I the only one who find these copycat guys absolutely ridiculous?! LOL! I liked Elvis but I totally second Kate.
Nice portrait, Leif! Especially the Elvis sideburn... :)
Anyway, Weekend Portrait is open for 3 days, starting from Friday to Monday. :)
Elvis lost weight!
Growing up, my best friends mother (she was teenage mother), loved Elvis so I did hear a lot of Elvis songs whenever I visited their house.
When my children were very little, they saw Elvis's picture on the cover of magazines at a newsstand (at Yellowstone National Park) and asked me who he is. I explained. They asked why he was on the cover. I explained that it was some anniversary of his death. They asked how he died. I used the occasion to give an anti-drug message.
The next day on a hike, my son said that if he ever became rich he would not get bored and take drugs like Elvis. I asked him what he would do instead. He replied, "I would get cable."
When we returned home, I finally relented and bought cable service.
Oh my! Are you sure he's "ETA" certified? ... He's not wearing Elvis' signature smoked-lens glasses! But, I'm sure his performance was a hoot to watch. Hope you and your family enjoyed.
Bonne Saint-Jean!
PS: Appreciate your regular visits and funny comments on my blog. Merci beaucoup.
Used to be... Well informed sources close to the government of A... country somewhere, told me the KING went actually back to his home planet. Any truth in that??? I wonder.
Well, I kind of liked Elvis, but he is dead. This is just a guy with a bad haircut and odd taste in clothes.
I liked Elvis but never went overboard like some folks.
I find the Elvis fans more interesting than the real Elvis. It's fascinating how some people keep living their teenage years like they never graduated from high school. And I'm even more fascinated by the Elvis fans who weren't even alive when Elvis was big news. :)
I can do a good Elvis Voice with some of his songs. Hahaha This is a great shot Leif! But I have to be honest, most of these Elvis Fans that dress up like him kinda looks creepy.
Steven^^

Did you know that a small country town in Australia called Yass has one of the biggest E.T.A.s in the world. It's a bizarre world that's for sure. Great shot
