Driving east on Highway 110 in Mendota Heights just north of Eagan, I discovered this old gray barn and a newer red barn next to it. I met Linda there, too. See other "Barn Charm" photos here.
I'm amazed at the numbers of old dilapidated buildings that are just simply abandoned...there are a surprising amount of them up here in the Eastern Sierras of California...and like this, oftentimes there's a new building right next to the old one...a charming venue for photography....

I love these old barns!
I can see why a new red barn is necessary, but there"s a certain charm about the old structure.
Great shot...love the composition!

I like them both, but prefer the older one, especially those things on the roof!

Sad to see when trees and bushes grow up right from the foundation of these old barns....
Both are fantastically beautiful & I'd love love love to explore them... looks like lots of treasures to be uncovered inside! =)

I am in love with these old barns from first sight!
That barn has seen better days but it sure is full of charm!
Wonderful contrast of the old and the new - charming!
It's always fun when you can get a two-fer. The contrast of the old and new barn make a great photo.
Although it has seen better days, it's still full of charm!

Wonderful composition, Leif. I really like this beautiful photo.
How charming. It would be great if someone could restore the old barn.
Old gives way to newer. Great shot.
I was too late to post a link to my photograph, but it can be seen at my blog.
