Spring at Holz Farm

Holz Farm was one of the early farms of Eagan. Now it's owned by the City of Eagan and used as a living museum for community festivals, etc. See other charming barns here.

This reminds me of the Red Barn on Washington Island, WI, Leif. Does this one have dances, musical events, poetry readings, etc. too?

One of my friends got married in a former barn wedding venue! I like that they don't tear it down and make use of it. Great shot :D

What a neat way to keep these barns in use today.

Must be a big barn. It's amazing that a barn is being used as a museum.

Now, SHE. IS. A. BEAUTY. What a gorgeous barn & I'm so glad the city is taking care of it... it does look very Spring-y there! =)

Thanks so much for joining, Leif, much appreciated!!! =)

Hey Leif, I just read your comment on my blog & see that you're in New Orleans... how's the flooding there? Is it bad or were they able to divert it by opening the gates? I've been trying to watch it on the news, but it's hard to find anything after the initial coverage & surprise has worn off, for the media, anyway! =)

Reminds me of growing up in Missouri and driving out into the country. Lovely Leif.

Looks like "little house on the prairie". Very nice shot!

Macht's gut!!!!

Red is such a good color for a barn. It's great that this one has a community aspect to it.

Würdest Du gerne in so einen Haus wohnen?
Erinnert mich ein bisschen an ein Bauernhaus

Very cool but why most barns are red? There must be a reason, right?
