Running to honor & remember

Hundreds gathered for the 3rd annual "Tribute to the Troops" 5K race and 3K walk to support the local American troops and their families. The 36 degrees Fahrenheit weather kept everyone moving on May 1st! Reportedly, a huge crowd gathered after the race for the "Scoops for the Troops" ice cream at Ring Mountain Creamery.

Interesting that the run occurred and your photo was posted right after the announcement of Bin Laden's death. Very timely, my friend.

Isn't it wonderful that communities are rallying around the troops, with inspiration led by our First Lady's efforts? Carry on, Eagen!!

Today is a particularly fitting day to have saluted the troops.

Good pictures to show your event.
Here is Israel we are remembering the Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes today. So with your Run, and the dramatic news from America, it is a lot to remember on this day.

Jack just said it. Did you have an impromptu celebration yesterday? :D

On a lighter note, how you can have ice cream in that weather completely baffles me.
