My Eagan Rotarian friend, Michael Proebstle, helped me photograph the Moon on Sunday evening at 10:30 pm with my camera. It's good to have a professional photographer as a friend!
Yes, it is helpful to know a professional photographer. Julie and I did a full moon photography workshop at the Desert Botanical Garden with a professional photographer a few years ago. The moon reflects so much light that an f 8, 1/125 setting will work, which is many times faster than I would have expected to take a night shot.
We did another lesson with the professional photographer before Julie and I went on a Solar Eclipse Cruise, and we have a photographic trip with him to Yosemite National Park coming up.
When Julie, Sharon (of Phoenix Daily Photo) and another friend were walking back to our house from dinner in Scottsdale on Saturday night we admired the almost-full moon. Your photo today shows why.
Great shot Leif! Since I am on a perennial night shift, I didn't notice the moon for few nights.....hhmmmmm let me see what I can photograph tonight. Hope it will be as good as your photo.
Oh how I miss my 300 mm lens. I took one of the moon today which is reddish down in our part of the world with 55 mm and it came out decently. Nice shot there!
