"Friends of the Farm" and the
Eagan Parks & Recreation presented the 24th annual Arbor Day Celebration and Holz Farm Spring Festival on Sunday, May 16. Crowds gathered for the ceremonial tree planting, pony rides, hay(wagon) rides, barnyard animal viewing, rope making and hot dog lunch. Eagan's
"Women of Note" choir and
"Men's Chorus" both sang on a beautiful, sunny, early Summer day. In honor of
Eagan's 150th Anniversary, they also collected food donations for the Eagan Resource Center (foodshelf).

This looks like it would have been great fun to have participated in this and it looks as if the weatherman was cooperative, too.

Looks like a nice day and place for a family outing.
'Friends of the Farm'! I like this name.
Looks and sounds like fun!
Beautiful scenes so indicative of the Midwest. I remember the rope making with my son's cub scout pack. Looks like a lot fun that day for everyone!
My kids would go crazy for a pony ride and they'd love the orange tractors too. Your pictures are great!
Fun for the kids. There is an open house at the Agricultural College where I live this weekend. I might pay them a visit.
Lovely collage, glorious sunshine (lucky you), the kind of event I love!
Oh and I love the music.
Fun! Would love to be there!
Is this the place where you found a goat mountain last year?
Interesting the usage of the German word for wood. Nice and peace providing photography. Thank you for sharing.
Ooh I wanna ride the horsie, and the little tractors!! I'm a big friend of farms. You are lucky to have so many, so near.
