Easter Lutheran Church (on the hill) held a
Thanksgiving Eve worship service at 7 p.m. Immediately after worshipping in the sanctuary, everyone rushed out to choose a piece of pie: pecan, pumpkin, apple, cherry, or chocolate silk.
Steven & Allison Butler brought the pumpkin pie which rested on the pedestal; Steven made the crust by hand and Allison made the filling!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

A great way to end the church services, and you got your priorities right...first feed the soul with a reward afterward!

We had a city Thanksgiving program at the Congregational Church last night. There were three choir's and 6 or 8 ministers (Protestant, Catholic and Muslim). Even the mayor spoke. After the service we had pie and coffee and a lot of visiting.
You might want to look at my site because I posted a recipe. It's to late for today, but it might work for Christmas.
Hmmmm,
it;s look like so delicious....!
Wow. They look really great! Happy Thanksgiving Leif!
I'm actually in US right now and since arriving here three days ago I've been eating everything that I've been missing: bagels, donuts, oatmeal cookies. And now you reminded me of pecan pie :) I'll pay dearly for this Thanksgiving trip, I'll probably be dieting up to Christmas :)
Thank you for the pie picture! What a testament to abundance.
Yummy, yummy!!! I heart pie! Happy Thanksgiving.

A beautiful way to spend this special day — prayer and food! :)
I would have had a very, very hard time choosing among all those different pies.
Wishing you and your family a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!
That pie photo is just great! Pecan pie...haven't had that for a long time; no pecans here!
Oh, and it's me, 'Bibi,' under another account!
Yum! St. Mark's did the same thing Wednesday night. At the Offering, food donations for the Food Bank were gathered and placed in front of the altar.
