The Eagan Kickstart Rotary Club thanked corporate sponsors of their 5K Fun Run at their weekly breakfast meeting on Thursday at City Hall. I was proud to be one of the sponsors.

Food, hope and joy

Brian Ingram, CEO and chef of "Purpose Restaurants," spoke at our Eagan Rotary weekly lunch meeting on Wednesday. He founded many successful restaurants nationally and has used their successes to give back largely to his communities in the form of 300,000 free meals, 2 million pounds of food and $225,000 in relief to local families in need. He's a generous, big-hearted man.

One month to go....

 

As a 2nd time Eagan Rotary club president, I only have 4 more meetings to lead before the end of the Rotary year on July 1. It's been a challenging year during Covid but also very rewarding and exciting!

Another Rotary round

Due to a sudden job transfer, our brand-new Eagan Rotary Club president, Mike, had to resign. I received the Rotary Club of Eagan's charter certificate as the new club president for a second time. My office assistant, Olivia, helped me hold the framed piece of history at our Achievement Financial office.

Power handover

Immediate past president Laura Helmueller gave the Eagan Rotary charter certificate to Mike Lavin at last night's "Charter Banquet" for him to hang on his wall as the new club president from July 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021. Congratulations!

Rotary Foundation trustee

Eagan Rotary Noon Club president Laura Helmueller posed with Jennifer Jones, trustee of the Rotary Foundation, after Thursday morning's breakfast meeting. Eagan Rotary Kick-Start Club, Eagan Rotary Noon Club and Burnsville Rotary Noon Club members joined along with District 5950 VIPs to hear Jennifer's informative and motivational speech about Rotary and its global service initiatives.
