The Eagan Art Fair brought artists and art shopping enthusiasts together on Saturday and Sunday for pottery, glassworks, yard ornaments, handmade soaps, photography, macramé and more! Yep, I bought another pottery coffee mug!

Power handover

 

On Wednesday evening, the Eagan Rotary Club held its 35th annual charter banquet at the Lost Spur Golf Club. Outgoing club president, Erica Hollom, presented the framed charter certificate to incoming club president, Tami Phillippi.  Good luck with the start of the new Rotary year on July 1, Tami!

Several teams play beach volleyball on the parking lot at Cedarvale bowling alley. Beer and burgers are available at their "Fritz's bar."

 Sweep, sweep, sweep went the Elgin vehicle down Rahn Road to clean up our streets.

I picked up a coneflower plant and 3 geraniums to plant at my house at Jerry's greenhouse on Nicols Road.

 Yesterday, I celebrated my birthday on America's Flag Day. I'm thankful for my many blessings!

Grant check

On Wednesday, Jennifer Harrison from the Dakota Woodlands homeless shelter accepted a $5,000 grant check from the Eagan Rotary Club's "Live to Give Walk" fundraiser. Charity representatives from DARTS and "The Drawer" also each received a $5,000 grant check!

30th Anniversary

 

On Sunday, Cheryl Caponi, owner and director of the Caponi Art Park, invited the community to celebrate their 30 years of art in their park. Her late husband, Tony Caponi, was an art professor, artist, sculptor and co-creator of the Caponi Art Park.

Graduation party

Congratulations to David who just graduated from Eagan High School. He's off to study IT / computers in college next. A food truck serving fresh tacos was a highlight of his party!
