Rev. Melissa Ollendieck, an Iowa native and my wife's childhood friend, visited us in
Eagan last week. She worked many years as a
military chaplain and now helps people as a
Christian Wellness Coach. Currently, she's also pursuing a
Doctorate of Ministry degree to add to her Masters of Divinity degree. Her website is

it is good to see women pursuing advanced degrees. My mother got her M.S.W. just before my older brother was born, then when we were in high school she got a second Master's degree, and she got a Ph.D. when we were in graduate school.
