The moon was indeed wonderful last night. For full nighttime shots of the moon f.8 and 1/125th works well. That is a fast shot, and most people think that the shutter needs to be slow for a night shot, but the moon actually bounces off a lot of light.
It was 4 pm and I was glad to come home for the beginning of the weekend!

Can't remember when I was last up at 4 p.m., but this shot would have been worth it.
