Our Indian friends,
Hari and
Hima from Hyderabad, hosted a
huge party at their house to celebrate a special
Hindu festival, "Guru Poornima," or "Full Moon Night festival." These
beautiful women graciously posed for me in front of
Hima and
Hari's house in their colorful sarees.

What a wonderfully colourful and happy image this makes Leif, excellent!
Wow! They are beautiful and I love all of the bright colors of their clothes. They all look like princesses!
I'm used to comment the colors of skys and landscapes on photos, but this one have much more colors than anyone I ever commented! lol!
I love the vibrant colors of all those Sari's! Gorgous :D
I want them all! Love the colors.
BTW, I made myself watch PD yesterday. In 19 min (including commercial breaks,) she said YA'LL 10 TIMES. Do the math, ya'll.

The colors are spectacular, aren't they? I wonder how the tradition of brilliantly colored Indian women's clothing began.
Bharat zindabad! (Hindi for...) Long live India!
I bought a beautiful silk sari in Varanasi in the '80's. The blouse was tailor made and like a second skin. I couldn't get my big toe in it now, but the sari still fits! I love all the colours available in saris and the beauties in your photo show the tremendous variety. Ah, India!!
PS. Tell your viewers to max the photo so that they can see the luscious colours and beautiful fabrics. I think I'll go get my black silk trimmed in gold sari out of the drawer now just to reminisce!
This seems a very interesting task...
I love, love India. Been there twice, and looking forward to trip three, whenever I can do it. Such happy people.
Lovely colourful pic and not a frown among them!
Tey are beautiful! WOW!

Those outfits are just spectacular! And, how was the food, Leif? Yummy, I'm sure!
So beautiful and colorful too.
Gorgeous saris, wonderful smiles, thanks for bringing them to us!
