Cousins Jenny and Alex sell vegetables at the wooden produce stand at the corner of Cliff Road and Nicols Road. Their family has 17 vegetable stands around the Twin Cities, a family business for almost 100 years!
Fresh young faces! They look both healthy and happy and so pleased to have you photograph them. The produce looks wonderful and I wish that they wee near-by because I'd be a regular customer! The family knows the definition of work ethic, right?!
17 produce stands for one family? That is a family that has stuck together over the generations. I wonder if anyone has suggested to them that they expand and franchise their concept. I hope they never do and keep it a family business.
With locally grown food being much more popular these days, I hope the family's business is becoming rewarding enough to keep family members in it for years to come.
Thanks for visiting HDP today and so often. The interaction with people everywhere is so much fun, isn't it?
Yum, they have great looking produce. You gotta love family owned business in which the family generations really runs and participates in the business.

What a lovely looking couple Leif, and those veggies look so healthy. Sounds like they have made a good business, well done to them!
Are these vegetables from a biological culture ?
Are these vegetables high fertilizers and pesticides ?

Now that would be a fun place to work!
How I wish there's a local farm market in our community. We have to travel to different city if we want to have fresh veggies.
By the way, thank you for visiting Marikina Daily Photos. Have a great day!
