Bathtime for doggies

Argosy University Veterinary Technology students held their 5th annual "Dog Wash" behind their school on a sunny Saturday. Chili, a 9 year old Collie mix, had a $10 wash in the purple pool while Casey, a 3 year old Husky/Great Pyrenees mix, got a $10 scrub in the yellow pool. For $30, a identification micro-chip could also have been installed.

Argosy University, in Eagan since 2003, offers bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees to its 2,000 students. Argosy has 19 locations in 13 states but only one in Minnesota in Eagan.

Wow! More expensive then cars these days. Probably more precious too.

What fun for summer. Sure beats a lemonade stand business.

Dogs look so funny when they're all wet! :-)

I have never seen a dog look happy while it is being bathed. These don't look too grumpy but they're not smiling either.

What a great fundraising project! Looks like a blast!

Never heard of a dog wash before. What a great idea! I hope that they smelled as fresh as a daisy when they were done. Sadly, our dog doesn't smell good even right after she has had a bath.

I agree with Kate.(Hi Kate!) My dog Kaiah dislikes the bathing but loves the attention she's getting...and moso of all, the treat she gets after the bath. Smart dog, eh!
C'est fun Leif! Bonne journee!

Oh what fun and presumably a few wet people! Not to mention dogs. I bathed my three this morning - one in the bath and two with a hosepipe - no small feat but now they are all fresh and clean and I'm exhausted. Love the pics, Leif.

Hope it was a nice warm day Leif, looks like more than the dogs got soaked!

I bet they had a blast! The heat index was 118 here yesterday & still 103 at midnight last night & suppose to be just as hot today, too, so that's one way to cool off in this heat =)

In Tamarindo, Costa Rica, we have a popular dog wash available every day. It is called the Pacific Ocean.

This is a fun event, Leif. I am struck that all of the veterinary students in the photos you feature are women. Either you have an eye for the ladies, a possibility I am not going to dismiss, or veterinary schools now have a tilt toward female enrollees. My father was a vet but in his day there were no female vets at all.

I love the idea of a dog wash. I, or rather Milo, could sure use that right about now.

Looks like everyone was having a good time, well except for the dogs.

That looks like a fun time. Our dog Winston hates water, thus bath time always ends badly. He's mad, the she's mad and some how they are both mad at me. ;)

Our dog likes being washed, I don't think he likes the water or soap, but just the attention and being stroked!
