That ol' red barn

This barn and its original, green farm house sit next door to Trinity Lone Oak Lutheran Church. I'll get the farm house in a photo next time. Find Tricia's "Barn Charm" meme here.

It's a beauty! I've found that it's getting more and more difficult to find honest-to-goodness barns close to the Cities anymore. PS. After today come visit my Mazatlán, México blog. In about 24 hours we'll be jetting out!!

It does look huge and with the other barn looks like this place is busy this coming Spring and Summer. Happy Tuesday!

I know I've said this about a million times, but I love old red barns in snow... they're just so beautiful! =)

Thanks so much for joining in on Barn Charm & I appreciate your enthusiasm about this lil ol' meme! =)

That red color sure looks familiar. Our barns are always painted red.

The contrast to the snow is wonderful but I wonder why the red is so often chosen on barns...

I wish I could live in a red converted barn. I'd be the talk of V.!

I like how that one missing board gives it so much character. Now I'm interested in seeing the other part too.

I love the red ones and I love peeling paint. :)
The vintage lighning rods atop the roof give it great character.
I'd love to see the green house. If it's green then that probably explains the green siding on what looks like a new pole barn to the left of this one.
Have a great week Leif!

Lovely barn. Red in the snow always looks good. MB

I like red barns very much. I remember reading that originally farmers used cow blood to paint them.
