Derek Wallen, an Apple Valley resident, was
roller skiing through our neighborhood on a Friday evening. He's been ski racing since 2001 and has participated in the Vasaloppet and Birkebeiner races. When he's not roller skiing, Derek works as a
graphic designer in downtown Minneapolis.

neat way to train, I could never do something like that without breaking a leg or two.
Cool. Never seen that before.
Graphic design and Vasaloppet, cool mixture! We were actually lucky enough to see the first snow, high up in the mountains last weekend.
Cool that he has been over here for the Vasaloppet. Heja Derek!
Ah, youth! Did you see the article in today's Trib about the aging of the outer tier suburbs? Guess this guy gives the lie to the increasing trend of an aging population.
This looks like a lot of fun!
Given that Minny-sota only has two seasons [(1) Snow and (2) Road Repair], he won't have to wait long for the white stuff...

I've never seen such a thing. Absolutely fascinating!
I'm too much of a scaredy cat to try something like that though. ;)
Looks like fun and a good work out at the same time. Nice photo!
This looks like fun!
Un grand sportif doit savoir glisser sur une neige qui n'existe pas ! Come in France, we have veritable snow !
Une idée de déplacement très originale.
j'aimerai bien essayer ces ski à roulettes
We have loads of these in Eiker too! I hope you enjoyed ur norwegian holiday this summer! I saw you met Rune from Drammen. Did you know that Nedre Eiker is the neighbouring municipal to Drammen??
I wouldn't mind trying that, looks like fun.
Never seen one in Avignon :-))))
