4th of July parade

Saturday saw the long Funfest parade of over 100 participants during a two hour ride along Eagan's parade route. I rode in Don the Rotarian's 1929 Ford Model A towncar with the Eagan Rotary Club so I missed the Eagan "royalty" at the front of the colorful cortege. Enjoy a few "Independence Day" parade photos!

You have a nice looking parade. I am not sure but don't think we are having one. Here is the reply I left after your comment on my Brookville blog...

Reply to Leif Hagen...
Naw. Shucks. I was a blonde. I also had curls. My mother cried, real hard, the day my day took me to Henry Myers, the barber, to get my first haircut. It cost 10 cents and Henry gave me a penny back.

Parades are SO much a part of our celebration of the Fourth, our Independence Day. Love every part of the day! The blogs have exploded with red, white, and blue today. May freedom ring throughout the world, and what a different world that would be, wouldn't it? Re. your comment: yes, that delightful cow is off Randolph, just down the street from a coffee shop and not too far from Cretin-Derham. Obviously it has caught your eye, too.

This looks like great fun! What particularly caught «Louis'» eye was the old fire truck.

The problem with being IN the parade is you don't get to watch it!
