This new park & ride station was built last winter at 4035 Nicols Road. Take a look back then at the station during winter - click here. Their grand opening was held on May 26, 2010.
We need more of these to improve our consciousness for conserving the planet's oil. I'm still in the bad habit of jumping in my car for every errand and need to change that.
As to your comment about the water. Skagit River starts out in Canada (BC) and crosses the mountains all through W. Washington and ends up in Skagit Bay and on to the ocean near Stanwood. It is designated--in most parts--A Wild and Scenic River and is mostly Mountain pure. Because we have so many mts and that is where rivers generally start they are pretty clear. MB
How impressive, both for the time and beauty. Took the city more than five year to build and finish a P&R over here. Please have a nice start into the new week.

This looks like a nice facility for transit - and designed with dem cold Minny-sota winters in mind!
Very interesting building for a park and ride. Most are dull block buildings with no style.
Darryl and Ruth : )
I like the curvy roof. Wish there were more trees around though. Looks very brown.

As I commented back then, I love the design! I hope it's doing it's job well.
Such a difference from the previous station shot! It should be summertime all year long everywhere! :-)))
Well at least the snow is finally gone. LOL

I like that building - and hope some cars will be parked there.
This is very modern looking sleek building. I like it. Thanks for stopping by today.

Very stylish. The peak hour is over apparently.
I love the curvy roof - it's stylin'!
Looks like a wave. It's lovely.
Gut gelungen. Ich mag die runden Formen besonders. Richtig schick!
Park and ride? Is that a bus depot? I like the curved, wavy roof. It gives a plain modern building some character.
Cheers.

I'll bet a lot of people will be thankful for this park and ride when the weather again looks like your 'then' photo.
