Eagan Lioness Club

On breezy, Autumn like Saturday, August 29th, the Eagan Lionesses were busy selling hotdogs and brats outside a Von Hanson's meat store. One of several fundraisers, they were making money to support some of their community projects. I hope they had a successful day of sales!

The 16 member Lioness Club of Eagan was established in 1976. They meet every fourth Thursday of the month for fun, fellowship and fundraising in the community room at Cedarvale Lanes. Club President, Margo Danner, leads their cheerful, fun group! A fellow Rotarian told me this week, "Margo knows everyone and everyone knows Margo!"

I think I'm going to gather a group of women and call us "Eagan Cougars." What do you think? Anne, are you in?

Nothing like a bunch of happy Minnesota lionesses!

@ Allison - "Eagan Cougars." That's kind of catty, don't you think? Heh. Heh.

Two questions. First, is it already that chilly to be wearing long sleeve and sweaters and such? Second, where is the food?

Indeed it is that cool now in Eagan. I think Autumn has already arrived! The hotdogs and brats were on the grill behind them.

It's really cool here too! About 5 degrees. I love those cookouts. In Canada, we have the VA. Veteran's Association that does these type of things, but I don't think the wives have any special club with a cool name! At least not that I know of!

There's always a Margo!

I hope their sale was a success too. A group with a likable, dedicated leader is bound to succeed!

Så fint at det finnes folk som er ivrige for å gjøre noe for samfunnet, - og det helt gratis! Kjempebra!:-)

I can't believe it's that cool already! It is still quite hot here, but there are actually a few leaves falling in my backyard so I know fall is on its way!

I am glad you enjoyed the Packard on my daily photo site today. I enjoyed going through your bangalore photos. I too remember my Rotary GSE experience with great fondness. It is a once in a lifetime experience. India is such a fascinating place. I can't remember if I told you but we have started a travel website at www.vivalavoyage.com that you would enjoy as we have photos of people from India and Morocco posted and the new ones go up each Sunday. Based on your Rotary GSE experience, you will likely enjoy the people shots I was able to obtain. I tried to do it photo journalism style.

Fund raising is an interesting topic. Not much of that around here. Makes sense with our levels of taxation, I guess.
