A Service of Praise & Thanksgiving

On Sunday afternoon, 800 relatives, clergy, organists, musicians and friends gathered at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul for an extraordinary, eucharistic memorial service for Paul O. Manz. Paul was renowned in the Lutheran world as an amazing organist, composer, recitalist and teacher.

The National Lutheran Choir sang "E'en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come" by Paul Manz and the Nunc Dimittis by Alexander Gretchaninoff.

Paul Manz's son, John, is one of the associate pastors at our church.

  1. Nicely done, Safe Leif. I knew not Manz (other than by reputation), but it appears he had a lot of friends and relatives.

  11. A very nice church, very light and airy. It is good to see so many people at church. That's an impressive looking organ in the far left and side - it must sound wonderful when played.
