Smoking on a balcony reportedly started an early morning blaze on Thanksgiving. The 6 units at Cinnamon Ridge Apartments at 4565 Slater Road were wrecked but luckily none of the 20 residents were injured.

My wife and I watched Agent 007 run, shoot, leap and sashay through 2.5 hours of action, suspense and death defying tricks on Saturday night at Eagan's Regal 16 Theaters.  Sometimes, I wonder what it would be like to be an international spy.....

This statue stands behind the Eagan Community Center. The mums are the only flowers left in late autumn. 

Football dude

The Eastview Lightning booster club placed specialized signs in all the high school varsity football players' own yards to congratulate them on getting to the state competition. Jackson, defensive End #92, posed on a sunny Saturday. Unfortunately, their team lost 35 - 21 to Wayzata High School at the Metrodome.

Thanking them

Sunday is Veteran's Day in the United States. We thank and remember all those who have served and currently serve in the United States Armed Forces. This solider statue stands at the Eagan Memorial Plaza, a site honoring Police Officers, Firefighters and Military personnel.

Tuesday was an important day for all to vote, an American right, responsibility and privilege. Our voting took place at nearby Chapel Hill Church.  The ballot included presidential candidates, amendments and election of local politicians, etc.

Community conservatives

Local liberals

Political yard signs abound as we approach the national election day of November 6. Voters will reelect or replace the president, choose the 113th Congress, settle 33 Senate and 13 governors' races and select a slate of state, territorial and local representatives.  How will you vote?

Birthday bags

A crowd of Cheerful Givers volunteered their time and energy to assemble 3,000 fun and joy filled gift bags for underprivileged community kids. Thomas Reuters provided their space for Saturday's 5th annual "Make a Difference Day" activity. More information here.
