Our younger two daughters decided to take a big leap for Leap Day! Hope you all take a great big leap on Leap Day, too.... This day, February 29th, only comes around every four years!

Kai Curry rides his cool, custom "FAT bike" to work in Eagan from St. Paul, a 40 minutes journey. Special thick tires and custom wooden, decorative fenders help him arrive safely and in style at Gorton Studios where he works as a computer programmer and website designer.

Eagan High School Girls' Wildcats hockey team showed their pride and sense of fun with these cheering Minnesota sticks outside the Eagan ice arena!

Birthday crown

Allison, the "29 yr old Birthday Girl," put on her Burger King crown before her belated birthday lunch at Hulahan's on Friday. We both enjoyed big salads; I drank water and she drank 20 gallons of diet coke with limes!

David Finigan graduated from Marquette University and launched into a real estate management career. As director of asset management for KW Commercial Midwest in the Eagan office, he's a busy guy, married with three children. David will soon serve our Eagan Rotary Club as treasurer.

Thinking of them

The newlyweds, Bharat and Arpana, had arrived in Jaipur from the wedding in her village and performed another ceremony at home the next morning. Bharat's mother exchanged rice with Arpana. It's now a fantastic memory and they are special friends!

An early start

This boy had all the Minnesota Wild hockey gear to look like a real pro. My younger two daughters and I skated around the Eagan Civic Arena on Sunday afternoon before the Superbowl kick-off.

Dancing stars

Our second daughter danced with her team in a show on Saturday night in nearby Lakeville. This is another dance team that I caught with my iPhone camera.

Hoarfrost

We saw heavy frost on Saturday morning in Eagan. It stayed on for several hours so I ran out with my Nikon!

Eagan leaders and business owners gathered for a sponsor breakfast meeting on Friday to discuss the upcoming July 4th Funfest. It will be another exciting holiday weekend with fireworks, live bands, carnival rides, a parade and more.

Meeting Mitt

American Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, joined his wife, Ann, and one of their 5 sons in a campaign rally at Freightmasters in Eagan on Wednesday afternoon. Former Massachusetts Governor Romney sang "America the Beautiful" with the crowd of hundreds and gave an uplifting message. US Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and his wife, Mary, introduced the Romney family.
