Dressed to the nines
Deepak and I were dressed for his cousin's wedding. I wore a Rajathani turban and he sported a new wedding outfit. He's a single guy and looking for his bride, likely in an arranged marriage like his cousin, Bharat.

Bharat, the groom, participated in several wedding ceremonies in his house loaded with relatives on Thursday. His mother and his aunt and several others adorned him with fresh flower garlands and gave him sweets to eat.

On Sunday, I visited the Dalai Lama's Buddhist temple in McLeod Ganj in Dharamsala in the Himachal Pradesh province. Here are the famous "Prayer Wheels" which are spun while praying. Soon I'll attend the wedding of a fellow CDP blogger...

Not the Eagan Rotary
I landed in Delhi, India on Thursday and already on Friday night it was possible to visit the evening Rotary meeting of the Palampur Rotary Club. I'm visiting Bloomington Rotarian, Sandhya Gupta, who moved back to India with her family. She's second from the left in a club of 59 members.

Pole fitness
Katherine Fossler, owner of Lady Katherine, a pole-dancing fitness studio in nearby Hudson, Wisconsin, just opened a new, second studio in Eagan in December. Birthday nails
Our middle daughter celebrates her birthday today! She asked some friends to get their nails done on Saturday afternoon followed by the new release of the "Muppets" movie and dinner. Her friend chose Muppets nail polish at Signature Nails, a fun and affordable nail salon along Cliff Road.

It's a small world....
Our family hosted Rotary District 3190 Governor elect Badri Prassad Boggaram and his wife Jayashree from Bangalore, India in our home for 4 days. Rotary District 5950 leaders came over for a vegetarian potluck dinner to honor our special guests. I stayed in Badri & Jayashree's home when I was in India back in March 2009 and he coordinated my Rotary GSE trip back then. See my India travel blog here.
