Connie Sowah, Ss. Martha and Mary Community Garden co-coordinator, guided me around their large garden behind their church. Over 15 gardeners cultivate the 15 leased plots of green space. Then they donate lots of fresh produce to the Eagan Pantry Foodshelf through the "Garden to Table" program.
Families, adults, Eaganites and others gathered Thursday evening at Fire Station 2 for their annual Ice Cream Social fundraiser. Firefighters and fire trucks abounded along with demonstrations and "hands on" opportunities.
Lone Oak Grill opened recently in the former Joe Senor's restaurant building. Renovated, re-landscaped and ready for hungry diners! Try your hand on the bocce ball courts which replaced the former volleyball court. Cheers!
I was bit by a foreign travel bug after my sophomore year in high school. I haven't found a cure for it, nor do I plan to. I visited India for 5 weeks in early 2009 and Europe in July 2009. My family and I spent 1 month in Sweden, Norway and Denmark in July 2010. In January 2012, I went to the foothills of the Himalayan mountains and a wedding in Jaipur, India. Then in May 2012, I returned to Japan and Bangkok, Thailand. My family and I spent 3 weeks in Paris, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany in August 2012.
