"We're this close..."

Several Eagan Rotarians and two visiting Rotary VIPs posed for a photo representing Rotary International's biggest goal: eradication of Polio!  Less than 1% of the world's population now has polio and only in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria!  The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has also contributed over $300 million to the Rotary International Foundation to assist this fight! October 24th is World Polio Day.  (1,300th posting)

My late father, who was president of his Rotary Club, was one of the many Rotarians supportive of this worthwhile effort.

After Rotarians succeed in eliminating polio, I hope they will take on the challenge of another disease.

One sees from time to time people who got Polio over here. Much success for your effort.
