Speedy grocery bagger

Blake Westling, Eagan High School graduate, finished in second place in the national grocery bagging competition held earlier this year at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. The judges scored bagging competitors on speed, bag weight distribution, technique and style/appearance. His $5,000 prize money helped with University Wisconsin at LaCrosse expenses.  Blake held bagged groceries at Byerly's, Eagan's upscale grocery store and his hosting store.  Good luck with your compass aimed at medical school, Blake!

Congratulations to him!
«Louis» was in the grocery business for more than 30 years, starting as a bagger, ended up in the corporate office at Safeway.

Byerly's is a superb operation - one of the best in the nation.

The winner usually ends up on the Letterman show, that is always fun to watch. Congrats to Blake.
